Find the dancer inside!

March 18th, 2013

We need to find the dancer in each of us, and the dance in what we do. We need to breathe to move and move to breathe, and so cultivate a sensory awareness of our bodily selves as movement. When we do, we will have what we need to be able to think and feel and act in ways that remain faithful to the body of earth and our bodies of earth.

J. L. Moreno – Acting Your Inner Music

Although psychodrama is a powerful treatment approach in itself that requires years of training, therapy and supervision before one can be certified to practice, Joseph Moreno has attempted to present the basic psychodramatic concepts and techniques that can be integrated into music therapy practice. He describes the roots of his approach as stemming from J. L. Moreno’s early experimentation with music in psychodrama (1930-40s) that he called “psychomusic,” which involved improvised vocal music and/or rhythmic expression, along with instrumental improvisation. Music was generally used by J. L. Moreno to warm up the group, leading to the selection of a protagonist for the actual psychodramatic work.

Anima Mundi

August 2nd, 2012

“Anima Mundi” is a holographic visual performance exploring the archetypal nature of time within the nature`s rhythms. A human being is part of an interconnected web of natural forces, and nature is the source of inspiration for all human creation.

The dancer acts out his evolution starting from the primeval ocean of nothingness, like an alchemist, he gives birth to nature`s elements to form the world around him. At first he becomes constrained within the frame of time, given himself, as he has formed the elements unaware, but taking hold of his awareness he realizes his guiding power and transforms into the act of our imagination.
